the Goldfinch whistles are crated in Poland, made from a cream colored PVC with a black fipple plug. I have high D, C, Bb, G and a low C. They are tunable and have good tone. I suspect you'd be pleased with them.
My Bruke aluminum D is mt best whistle. Even having this high end whistle I mostly play my Becker PVC or Goldfinch, also PVC.
Anyone care to share funny stories? Here's mine. A while ago I made a pan of tofu and veggies, portioned it out onto freezer packages, put squirt of dish soap in the pan and set about tiding up. When I started doing the dishes I noticed a few bites of tofu left in the pan, and forgetting the soap, gathered them with a spatula and put it in my mouth....
Sneezing into the whistle might be an interesting embellishment. A tad shrill perhaps but an attention getter!

I'd be glad for any advice experienced players can share on keeping time with a foot tap or metronome. Where does the tap/click fall in relation to the sheet or played music? Especially with a dotted note, e.g a dotted quarter note in a measure of 3/4 time.

Thanks for the reply Martha, it is good to know this site is still active. Sure, mayhem is often part of trad songs and folk tales too. Still, the idea which the title seems to present, celebrating a spouse's death by dancing on her grave, is disquieting. This is too bad because it is a great, snappy tune.
I'm curious if others find the jig, "I Buried My Wife and Danced on Her Grave" to be an off putting title.
